Innovative entrepreneur recognized for his vision and leadership in the private sector of New Jersey’s technology industry
JERSEY CITY, N.J., — Nov. 1, 2013 — Scivantage®, an independent financial technology provider with proven expertise in online brokerage, tax and portfolio reporting and wealth management applications, announced today that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Adnane Charchour, has received the CEO of the Year award from the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC).
Mr. Charchour received the honor in the “Private Sector” category at the NJTC Leadership Summit, held Oct. 31 at the New Jersey Hospital Association Conference and Event Center, in Princeton, N.J. The annual NJTC CEO awards recognize CEOs in the public and private sector based on several criteria, including vision and leadership, corporate performance, innovative business achievements and social responsibility.

Under Mr. Charchour’s direction, Scivantage has quickly become one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S., underscored by both its listing on the Inc. 500/5000 Fastest-Growing Privately Held Companies list for seven consecutive years and double-digit revenue growth nearly every year. Scivantage’s CFO, James Kaminski was also recently named NJBIZ’ CFO of the year.
Mr. Charchour, a 25-year industry veteran who co-founded Scivantage in 2000 and was named Ernst & Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year® Award for NJ, was previously an officer of clearing firm Fleet Securities, Inc. As an officer and part of the technology executive team at Fleet, he led the firm’s e-technology strategy in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Charchour ran the online trading technology organization and helped many national and international banks and fund companies build an online brokerage arm in the late ‘90s, including Fleet Bank, Bank of Boston and Strong Capital Management. Prior to Fleet Securities, Mr. Charchour held various positions of responsibility at Automatic Data Processing/Brokerage Services Group (ADP).
Mr. Charchour completed the Securities Industry Institute program, a Wharton Executive Education program at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned his B.Sc. with Honors in Computer Science from St. John University in Queens, New York.
