Privacy Policy

We at Scivantage, Inc. ("Scivantage") are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you share with us. Scivantage has established this privacy statement so that you can understand the care with which we intend to treat your Personal Information.

Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home. In general, you can visit Scivantage's web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself.

Information Use

SCIVANTAGE, INC., DOES NOT SELL, RENT, LOAN, TRADE, LEASE OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED ON OUR SITE, INCLUDING REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION OR E-MAIL LISTS, TO ANY THIRD PARTY. WE WILL TREAT ANY INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE AS CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AND WILL NOT DISCLOSE IT TO ANY THIRD PARTY.

Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that certain web sites write to your Web browser (your computer's hard drive) so it can later be read back from that browser. A cookie file can contain certain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you have visited on that site.

Scivantage uses session cookies on its demo systems, which are removed by your browser when the browser closes and which contains only a unique ID, which is not associated with any Personally Identifiable Information. The cookie is placed on your system only after your log on and allows us to identify which services you are entitled to use during that session.

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. The logs do not contain personally identifiable information. Scivantage makes no attempt to link the traffic information on the site with the individuals who actually visit the site. From time to time, Scivantage may break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser). Again, we make no efforts to associate this information with individual users.

Legal Disclaimer

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

Third Party Intermediaries

We use an outside Internet service provider for hosting our Internet infrastructure. This Company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Links

This Web site can contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we, Scivantage, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Scivantage's web sites.

Children

No part of this site is directed to children. We will never knowingly collect information from users under the age of 13.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our Web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
