As a co-founder of Scivantage, Adnane Charchour brings leadership, depth, experience, perspective and vision. With a distinguished and proven track record in the Financial Industry, Mr. Charchour helps Scivantage achieve its goals in providing superior technology based products and services in the broker-dealer space.
Mr. Charchour joined the firm from Fleet Securities, Inc., a leading clearing firm. As an officer and part of the technology executive team, he led the firm's e-technology strategy in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Charchour ran an organization of over 60 people and was part of a handful of executives that launched SURETRADE.COM, a full end-to-end eBrokerage firm and a wholly owned subsidiary of Fleet Boston Financial. He repeated this success by helping many national and international banks and fund companies build online brokerage arms, including Fleet Bank and Strong Capital Management.
Prior to Fleet Securities, Mr. Charchour held various positions of responsibility at Automatic Data Processing/Brokerage Services Group (ADP) where he acquired a keen understanding of the ADP Back Office solution offering.
Mr. Charchour completed the Security Industry Institute program at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his B.Sc. with Honors in Computer Science from St. John University in Queens, New York.Back to Top ˆ
As former Chief Operating Officer of online forex provider GAIN Capital and current Senior Advisor to GAIN's executive management team, Chris has taken a leading role in developing and executing the Company's overall business strategy. Since 2000, Chris has played an integral part in GAIN's growth from startup to market leader and has a deep knowledge of the capital markets landscape and operating environment. Prior to joining GAIN Capital, Chris was Chief Operating Officer of FNX Limited, a provider of trading and risk management solutions to the international financial community. From 1992 to 2000, Chris helped grow FNX from an early stage start-up of 10 employees to well over 200 employees located in 7 offices around the world. In his early days at FNX, Chris spearheaded large scale, mission-critical system implementations and managed the professional services operation for the firm's largest sales office in New York. Later, as a member of senior management, Chris assumed responsibility for several key roles, including that of COO, Global Head of Sales and Marketing, and Senior Managing Director, Professional Services. As Executive Vice President, Strategic Accounts, Rany Chacar oversees the full spectrum of engagement and service for Scivantage. Mr. Chacar brings a proven ability to lead Scivantage in innovating and executing its strategic plan as well as depth in front office and back-office business and technology expertise.
Mr. Chacar joined the firm from Fleet Securities, Inc., where he was a Vice President in charge of the firm's Core Internet Services. In that capacity, Mr. Chacar worked closely with the senior management of established brokerage firms as well as new entrants to understand their vision and deliver strategic and tactical technology solutions to achieve them. Previously, Mr. Chacar held various positions of responsibility at Salomon Smith Barney where he last led the development and implementation of Salomon's Internet strategy and helped introduce, Salomon DIRECT, a breakthrough Internet sales channel as early as 1995. Prior to the Internet age, Mr. Chacar played a key role in developing Salomon's trading floor technology and automating their trading floor.
Mr. Chacar received, as a Stern Scholar, an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University, and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France.Back to Top ˆ
Michael Kopelman is a General Partner with Edison Partners, a growth equity firm that invests in rapidly growing technology companies. Since its founding in 1986, Edison has invested in over 185 companies and completed over 140 exits, including 17 IPOs. Michael leads Edison's Financial Technology & eCommerce segment and serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Michael began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston where he advised clients on numerous M&A and financing transactions. In 1999, Michael left CSFB to launch E*OFFERING, a venture-backed online investment bank affiliated with E*TRADE. He launched several new online products, including the first web-based roadshow for retail investors. E*OFFERING was acquired by SoundView Technology Group, where he remained to lead the firm's internet & e-commerce investment banking franchise.
Michael serves on the investment advisory committee for Ben Franklin Technology Partners, an early stage economic development program in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Business Journal identified Michael as one of forty individuals under the age of forty who have made the biggest impact on the Philadelphia region. He is past President of Wharton Private Equity Partners, the private equity organization serving over 2,000 Wharton alumni, and regularly guest-lectures seminars on entrepreneurship and venture capital at The Wharton School.

He is actively involved in sourcing, executing and monitoring investments. Previously, Jeffrey served as Director of Telecommunications Investment Banking at Morgan Keegan & Company where he completed over 25 transactions for middle market communications companies. Mr. Shufeldt is a Senior Advisor to Brown Brothers Harriman & Co (BBH). He started his career in 1976 at BBH in New York, moving to Atlanta in 1984 where he joined the predecessor of SunTrust Bank to start a corporate finance business for the bank. Over the course of his 23 year career at SunTrust, Charles held senior positions in corporate banking, capital markets, and investment banking. In 2003, he became Corporate EVP and head of the Corporate and Investment Banking line of business including corporate banking, investment banking, debt and equity capital. Charles has served as Chairman of the District Committee 7 of the NASD and the ABA Securities Association. He currently serves on the board of Frapag USA, a privately held real estate development company. Charles is also on the board of Long Lines LLC, and Telarix Inc., both BBH portfolio companies. He has been active in the Atlanta community having served as chairman of Young Audiences of Atlanta, the Atlanta Ballet, and is currently a member of the executive committees of PATH Foundation, Trees Atlanta, and the BeltLine Partnership.Back to Top ˆ
