As Chief Executive Officer of Scivantage, Chris Calhoun brings over twenty years of governance and executive management experience to the company. In addition to his CEO responsibilities at Scivantage, Mr. Calhoun is an active investor, mentor, and executive management consultant to early-stage firms in the FinTech and social enterprise spaces. Prior to his current endeavors, Mr. Calhoun was Chief Operating Officer of GAIN Capital (NYSE: GCAP). A pioneer in online currency trading, GAIN operates FOREX.com, one of the largest and best-known global brands in the retail trading industry. He played an integral role in GAIN’s growth from start-up in 2000 to public company in 2010 and currently serves on GAIN’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining GAIN, Mr. Calhoun was Chief Operating Officer of FNX Limited, a provider of trading and risk management solutions to the international financial community. During his tenure at FNX, he helped grow the company from a start-up to a global organization serving many of the world’s largest money center banks, with FNX enjoying a successful exit in 2000.
Mr. Calhoun serves on Scivantage’s Board of Directors as well as that of GoodCompany Ventures, a social enterprise accelerator. He holds a B.S. in Finance and MBA from La Salle University, and is also a Master’s candidate in Environmental Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.Back to Top ˆ
As a co-founder of Scivantage, Adnane Charchour brings leadership, depth, experience, perspective and vision. With a distinguished and proven track record in the Financial Industry, Mr. Charchour helps Scivantage achieve its goals in providing superior technology based products and services in the broker-dealer space.
Mr. Charchour joined the firm from Fleet Securities, Inc., a leading clearing firm. As an officer and part of the technology executive team, he led the firm's e-technology strategy in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Charchour ran an organization of over 60 people and was part of a handful of executives that launched SURETRADE.COM, a full end-to-end eBrokerage firm and a wholly owned subsidiary of Fleet Boston Financial. He repeated this success by helping many national and international banks and fund companies build online brokerage arms, including Fleet Bank and Strong Capital Management.
Prior to Fleet Securities, Mr. Charchour held various positions of responsibility at Automatic Data Processing/Brokerage Services Group (ADP) where he acquired a keen understanding of the ADP Back Office solution offering.
Mr. Charchour completed the Security Industry Institute program at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his B.Sc. with Honors in Computer Science from St. John University in Queens, New York.Back to Top ˆ
Michael Kopelman is a General Partner with Edison Partners, a growth equity firm that invests in rapidly growing technology companies. Since its founding in 1986, Edison has invested in over 185 companies and completed over 140 exits, including 17 IPOs. Michael leads Edison's Financial Technology & eCommerce segment and serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Michael began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston where he advised clients on numerous M&A and financing transactions. In 1999, Michael left CSFB to launch E*OFFERING, a venture-backed online investment bank affiliated with E*TRADE. He launched several new online products, including the first web-based roadshow for retail investors. E*OFFERING was acquired by SoundView Technology Group, where he remained to lead the firm's internet & e-commerce investment banking franchise.
Michael serves on the investment advisory committee for Ben Franklin Technology Partners, an early stage economic development program in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Business Journal identified Michael as one of forty individuals under the age of forty who have made the biggest impact on the Philadelphia region. He is past President of Wharton Private Equity Partners, the private equity organization serving over 2,000 Wharton alumni, and regularly guest-lectures seminars on entrepreneurship and venture capital at The Wharton School.

Jeffrey Meskin is a Principal of Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) Capital Partners and a Co-Manager of BBH Capital Partners III, L.P. He is actively involved in sourcing, executing and monitoring investments. Jeff is a director on the Board of Directors of Long Lines, LLC, BarrierSafe Solutions International, Inc., Durcon Laboratory Tops, Inc., Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc., Telarix, Inc. and Tower Ventures, LLC. Previously, Jeffrey served as Director of Telecommunications Investment Banking at Morgan Keegan & Company where he completed over 25 transactions for middle market communications companies. Mr. Shufeldt is a Senior Advisor to Brown Brothers Harriman & Co (BBH). He started his career in 1976 at BBH in New York, moving to Atlanta in 1984 where he joined the predecessor of SunTrust Bank to start a corporate finance business for the bank. Over the course of his 23 year career at SunTrust, Charles held senior positions in corporate banking, capital markets, and investment banking. In 2003, he became Corporate EVP and head of the Corporate and Investment Banking line of business including corporate banking, investment banking, debt and equity capital. Charles has served as Chairman of the District Committee 7 of the NASD and the ABA Securities Association. He currently serves on the board of Frapag USA, a privately held real estate development company. Charles is also on the board of Long Lines LLC, and Telarix Inc., both BBH portfolio companies. He has been active in the Atlanta community having served as chairman of Young Audiences of Atlanta, the Atlanta Ballet, and is currently a member of the executive committees of PATH Foundation, Trees Atlanta, and the BeltLine Partnership.Back to Top ˆ
